RETRO CLASSICS® STUTTGART 2021: definitive date
Due to recent date changes in the trade fair calendar, RETRO CLASSICS® STUTTGART is being moved once again to an alternative date – much to the delight of the organisers who were forced to accept organisational restrictions with the first postponement. "Thanks to the dynamic situation and the strong position of RETRO CLASSICS® in Stuttgart, we managed to negotiate a better time window which suits our customers and visitors even more," said Andreas Herrmann, Managing Director of RETRO Messen GmbH. "We are naturally sorry if the further postponement of the event means inconveniences, especially for exhibitors, but this unusual step has produced a much better situation for everyone involved. In addition, there are no longer any overlaps with events of other market competitors. Another postponement will definitely not occur."
The world's largest trade fair for driving culture will now open its doors for the 21st time from 25 to 28 February 2021. "We are very pleased that the date has been postponed by three weeks," said Hermann, "since our trade fair will therefore be closer once again to its regular date in March." The entire site of Messe Stuttgart will also be fully available on the four days of RETRO CLASSICS® STUTTGART 2021. With this amount of space we can carry out planning in a generous and flexible manner – and our visitors can start the tour of the trade fair as normal in Hall 1."
"Positive mood" within the industry
"The prospects for Retro 2021 are good," said Herrmann. "We are delighted with the excellent booking situation at present and will carry this over to the new attractive date. I believe that we will manage this relatively smoothly. The mood within the industry is generally positive. "During the corona pandemic a large number of dealers achieved good sales since people made investments and took time for their hobby. With our other events we are seeing very clearly that visitors want this trade fair."
The health situation certainly calls for changes to some aspects of the organisation of the trade fair. Messe Stuttgart's hygiene concept, which was formulated in close cooperation with the authorities and introduced under the slogan "Safe Expo", will ensure a safe and genuine trade fair experience. In addition to online ticketing, a well thought-out flow of visitors and extensive hygiene measures, Messe Stuttgart boasts a highly modern layer ventilation system which continuously supplies the exhibition halls with fresh air. Due to health protection reasons, the doors will also open earlier on the first day of the trade fair in order to stagger the rush of visitors at the entrance area.
According to Herrmann, however, RETRO CLASSICS® 2021 will not differ very much from past events. "After all, we already staged a RETRO CLASSICS® event under corona conditions this year. I am therefore convinced that we can build on these experiences – and that our trade fair in 2021 will again be successful."
