Varied trade fair presence of BMW Group Classic in Hall 7+++ Focus on electro-mobility +++ 50 years of BMW M as a key topic +++ BMW and MINI Clubs supporting the trade fair presence with a large number of vehicles +++ BMW Group Classic Teilevertrieb (Parts Sales) and historic documentation centre also present +++

Munich. BMW Group Classic will be represented at this year's Retro Classics, Trade Fair for Driving Culture, in Stuttgart in different ways. From 21 to 24 April 2022 visitors in Hall 7 will be able to look into the past and also see how history is combined with the present.

On the exhibition stand of BMW Group Classic the BMW 1602 Elektro from 1972, the then Olympic lead car for the marathon runners, will look into the eyes of a BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé. This bridges the gap between the first officially used BMW electric vehicle and a current product highlight. The latter relates specifically to the BMW i4 eDrive40 (NEDC [ ]; WLTP (combined): power consumption: 19.1-16.1 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; range: 493-590 km) the legendary "inka" colour of its forebear.

The grand 50-year anniversary of BMW M GmbH, formerly BMW Motorsport GmbH, will also play a prominent role at Retro Classics in Stuttgart. For example, the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL will be exhibited there as a motor racing coupé.

The official BMW and MINI Clubs will also present a large number of historic vehicles. In addition to "50 years of BMW M", the main topics of the vehicle exhibition of the Club members will include "50 years of the BMW 5 series" and "20 years of the New MINI Cooper S".

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the market launch of the (New) MINI Cooper S, fans of the MINI marque will also be able to admire a MINI Cooper S Challenge of Alessandro Zanardi. He drove this car in the Special Guest Race in Misano in 2005 as part of the MINI United 2005 Festival.

Just like previous participations in events in other places, BMW Group Classic Teilevertrieb (Parts Sales) and the historic documentation centre in Stuttgart will be on hand to answer visitors' questions.

The Stuttgart branch of BMW AG will exhibit the latest electric models for interested visitors on the outdoor area in the Rothaus Park at Messe Stuttgart.
