The Swiss motorcycle industry, which emerged from the bicycle, watch and machine industries, also played a significant role internationally and produced well over 50 different brands. The leading manufacturers were Allegro, Condor, Forster, Moser, Moto-Reve, Motosacoche, Universal and Zehnder. The stand of AMSC Leonberg will feature motorcycles of these brands, but also other extraordinary vehicles from Swiss companies which are now largely unknown. The majority of Swiss motorcycle manufacturing companies disappeared during the crisis in the 1930s or at the start of the 1950s. Some of these companies concentrated on other products (bicycles, lawnmowers, aircraft components, radiators) while others changed from independent producers to importers of foreign brands.
