Great response on all four days of the trade fair
While the response to the pre-opening of the 22nd edition of RETRO CLASSICS® on 31 January was already very great, the number of visitors during the trade fair exceeded all expectations: More than 82,000 visitors flocked to 7 full exhibition halls from Feb. 23-26, 2023, showcasing the entire spectrum of driving culture: whether with 2, 3, 4 or more wheels, whether racing vehicle, motocross machine or touring coach, everyone got their money's worth at RETRO CLASSICS® Stuttgart. International premium dealers presented exquisite vehicles and driving culture lifestyle, restoration companies showed their craftsmanship and sometimes new processes, clubs staged unusual booths and special shows and in the vehicle sales exchange as well as in the parts market precious items changed hands.
Positive conclusion of the dealers
Not only the visitors were enthusiastic - the dealers also drew a consistently positive conclusion: "In addition to high sales figures and a qualified audience, RETRO CLASSICS® is for me the ideal forum for networking," said Ralf Reller, Managing Director of Reller Automobile in Paderborn.
"Our perhaps world's largest BMW CS / CSI (E9) display, including the rare E9 convertible, was not only a visual highlight, but we were also able to sell quite a bit and make good contacts," summed up Wolf-Rüdiger von Massow, owner of Scuderia Sportiva Colonia from the Rhein-Sieg district.
"Since RETRO CLASSICS® also places a strong focus on NEO CLASSICS® vehicles, I'm in exactly the right place here with my range of vehicles with a focus on the 90s and 2000s," was the positive conclusion of first-time exhibitor Kahan Tuluk from Sportgarage Nürnberg.
Leo B. Peschl, a specialist for classic Maseratis from Cologne, presented top-class cars such as the 3500 GT, Ghibli and Mistral as well as the rapid prototyping process he initiated for the production of new Maserati cylinder heads, which was very well received by the interested public.
Exhibitors and partners from the very beginning, such as Kienle Automobiltechnik, Lorinser Classic, Boxer Motor and Löhlein Classics, were also pleased with the great response and correspondingly positive sales figures.
Record result
After a pandemic and "restart" in spring 2022, the 22nd edition of RETRO CLASSICS® in Stuttgart has not only returned to its former strength, but has even surpassed this with the current record of more than 82,000 visitors. RETRO Messen GmbH would like to thank all visitors and exhibitors for this great support and is already looking forward to the next RETRO CLASSICS®, which will take place in Stuttgart in the spring of 2024, as usual.
